I'm trying to create a rival for Nero. So I picture him inspired by Guts from Berserk, Heinkel from Hellsing & Deathstroke.
Aleksei is a Russian name meaning "defender of men", so as a defender of humanity against demons. He'll be gifted with a medallion which gives him not only armor, but also rune-based tattoos all over his body. Giving him a highlander/viking vibe.
Aleksei will be wearing a suit almost like Deathstroke, with a mask hiding his disfigured face.
Guts' armor & sword would be a good fit, as Aleksei activates his enchanted armor to be summoned. The zweihander will be his signature weapon through magic since Nero's weaponry is tech.
His shadow-based armor will come close to Guts' Berserker armor. It'll be his DT when his resentment, envy & jealousy get the better of him.
His final armored DT can be based almost like Credo's Angelo form.

Story:
A former knight of the Order who was once an orphan taken in by the Order. He looked up to Credo as his superior, though he never experience love of family growing up. But when it came to Nero as one of the Order’s knights, Aleksei only sees Nero as an outsider and views Kyrie’s attention to him a threat. He lacked feelings of love.. only lust. During a demonstration session set by Credo, Aleksei and Nero fought. But his jealousy towards Nero drove Aleksei to kill him, only to be expelled by Credo for his perverted behavior. No longer a knight, Agnus hires him to be one of his workers in secret.
Until the day Agnus opened Fortuna’s Hell Gate, all demons attacked the civilians. Aleksei was caught in the crossfire when he tried to fight them off. But to no avail as ends up scarred and mauled.
After the incident, a secret group belonging to an unknown corporation gathered what’s left of Dante & Nero’s battles in Fortuna. They took Aleksei’s body with them in order to have him restored. He woke up from his deep sleep, before the Qliphoth incident. The event of Fortuna left his face disfigured and scarred, as he hears from his rescuers that the Order had been defunct. Aleksei thinks Nero is to blame for it. Offered a medallion by its CEO, it gave him not only rune-based tattoos all over his body, but also giving him special armor to combat & exterminate the demons.
He finds Nero still in Fortuna at a new home, but with the Devil May Cry agency. Seeing Kyrie with him made Aleksei more envious & resentful of Nero. For this he vows to kill him as well as the demons.
When they encountered each other, Nero hardly recognized him due to knowing only Credo & Kyrie. But that didn’t stop Aleksei from killing Nero. Even to make threats to him by having Kyrie as bait. However, after Kyrie’s reminder to Nero about not making the same conflict as the Sparda twins, Nero spares Aleksei knowing not to end up like his uncle & father. And to prove that Sanctus caused the Order to defunct.
During some final battle, Aleksei comes to Nero & the others’ aid.
What do you all think? Anything I should add or fix for this character. Hope Capcom would take interest in this, even twist some things on Aleksei.
